Stock vs. custom — how do I decide?
If your product fits an established packaging format, stock packaging is typically faster and more economical. If your product has specific dimensional, functional, or presentation requirements that stock packaging cannot meet, custom thermoforming may be the right approach. Our team can help evaluate both options.
What information is needed for a quote?
To prepare an accurate quote, we need anticipated production volumes, whether existing tooling is available or new tooling is required, and the target production timeline. Product dimensions, samples, drawings, or existing packaging are also helpful where available.
How does prototype development work?
A prototype allows you to evaluate fit, function, presentation, and feasibility before committing to full production tooling. Prototypes are developed from your product dimensions, drawings, or samples and can be used to refine the design before tooling investment.
Who owns the tooling?
Tooling can be structured to suit the project. Customers may fund tooling upfront and own the tool, or tooling costs may be amortized over an agreed production program.
What quality and food-safety information is available?
Guycan Plastics Limited operates within an SQF-certified environment. Available documentation including SQF information, material information, and food-contact documentation can be provided upon request to support procurement and supplier-review requirements.
